CloudFit Software
The Right Fit for Startups
CloudFit Software is a leading cybersecurity company that specializes in helping organizations navigate the complexities of data management. Founded in 2018 by a group of former Microsoft employees, CloudFit has quickly established itself as a key player in the cybersecurity landscape.
Business Relationships Made Simple
Hear from CloudFit Software’s CTO about the warm and welcoming reception his business received when starting out in the Lynchburg region.
[The Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance] immediately mobilized and started helping us build relationships and set up meetings with local and state agencies. Anything that we could have ever asked for and more they brought to the table to help us be successful.
Making an Impact in the Community and Beyond
CloudFit Software started as an incubator project at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and, by 2019, had found its permanent home in the beautifully restored Carter Glass Building in downtown Lynchburg. Since then, CloudFit has become a fixture within the Lynchburg region, growing its team from 90 to nearly 200 employees in just a few years.
Strategic Support from the LRBA and the Lynchburg Office of Economic Development
When CloudFit began looking for a physical space to do business, the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance was an unwavering partner, helping the company secure its prime location in downtown Lynchburg.
Beyond providing physical space, the Alliance facilitated key introductions and hosted meetings with state officials, ensuring CloudFit had the resources and connections necessary to thrive. Whether the need is big or small, the Alliance continues to be just a phone call away for them and any company — providing the kind of support that is essential for businesses looking to scale their operations.
A Commitment to Community and Workforce Development
CloudFit’s commitment to the Lynchburg region extends beyond its business operations. The company’s founder, Carroll Moon, has demonstrated a deep dedication to community development through the creation of two impactful charities: KidFit and JobFit. KidFit focuses on mentoring children and teens through sports, providing them with the guidance and support they need to succeed in life.
Meanwhile, JobFit is designed to mentor adults looking to enter the IT space, helping them gain the skills and confidence needed to secure meaningful employment in a rapidly growing field. These initiatives reflect CloudFit’s broader mission to not only secure data but also secure futures within the community.
Industry Recognition and Continued Excellence
CloudFit’s excellence has not gone unnoticed. For the past five years, the company has either won or been a finalist in Microsoft’s Partner Award for Government/Defense & Intelligence, a testament to its outstanding contributions to the cybersecurity field. Additionally, CloudFit has earned a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 Vet 100 list, further solidifying its reputation as a top-tier company. These accolades underscore CloudFit’s commitment to innovation and excellence, qualities that are deeply rooted in its Lynchburg origins.
Lynchburg: A Launchpad for Success
CloudFit’s workforce now spans over 30 U.S. states, reflecting the company’s national influence and bearing witness to the pro-business strengths of the Lynchburg region.
