Business, Retention & Expansion
The Lynchburg Region takes great pride in its unique Business Retention and Expansion (BRE) program. In 2018, the Alliance, local partners, and the Virginia Economic Development Partnership collaborated to create a team approach model to BRE. This format allows the businesses in our community to receive the highest level of service in the most effective manner. It is our goal to save the business time and confusion by bringing all resources together for one meeting.
The Alliance and our partners understand the importance of retaining and expanding existing companies in our communities. Through the establishment of this on-going program, the Lynchburg Region is able to offer the best service possible to help our existing businesses continue to grow and be successful.
Notable recent expansions assisted by the region’s BRE program include:
- Bausch + Lomb – 79 jobs and $35 million capital investment
- Flowers Bakery – 15 jobs and $25 million capital investment
- Custom Truck One Source – 61 jobs and $2.5 million capital investment
To schedule a BRE visit, please email Jamie Glass at the Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance or your local economic development office.
